Q... What is a preservation breeder exactly?

A... As a preservation breeder of French Bulldogs & Cane Corso's, I breed to improve the breed, in health, structure & conformation. There is a science to breeding, such as breeding the strengths of one dog to the weakness of the other, to correct their flaws, in order to produce the best structured dogs possible.

Temperament is also a genetic trait, so I do breed towards the incredible genetic temperament traits of the Cane Corso, such as their very impressive guarding ability and leeriness of strangers, along with the unbridled love and loyalty they have for their family. And of course, I breed for the ever so loving and animated clown dog temperament of the French Bulldog.

When pups are born my attention turns to the mental development of the pup. A pup goes through vital mental development periods, which is why my pups stay with me until they are 10 weeks old or older.

A breed preservationist also does health testing on the dogs in their breeding program, to ensure they are breeding the healthiest French Bulldogs & Cane Corso's.

I x-ray the trachea's of the French Bulldogs in my breeding program, so I produce dogs that are not exercise intolerant or have BOAS issues. Unfortunately, the market is flooded with more French Bulldogs that can't breath, then those that can.

This attention to detail as a breed preservationist in my small breeding program, is what produces a superior pup that is "BEYOND THE STANDARD"
